My name is Brant Addy and I am new to the oldtools group here. I'm 28, and I live in West Point, Nebraska, which is in the NE part of the state- corn and cattle land. I work for Walter's Company Inc, which is a small construction company specializing in replacement windows. We also build decks, patio enclosures, screen rooms and solariums. Some of you may be aquainted with my esteemed brother, Darren, who is 9 years or so older than I am. Darren is really the one who got me interested in the group here. Basically, I have next to nothing to add to any coversation that goes on here, but I am happy to read the majority of public posts and replies. The more I read the more I learn. Being a carpenter, I am aquiring a small collection of p*wer tools, but as I have heard from others, that is not something we talk about much here. <g> What I would like to learn about the most is what sort of tools are valuable and collectable, and what to look for when buying a tool. (Specifically, planes.... wooden ones mostly.) I've been married for a little over a year now, and my wife hates it when I camp out over the computer. Hopefully, subscribing to this group will not push her over the edge. <g> --brant | |||
